3 Days / 2 Nights
Causeway Coast Photography Workshop
The Causeway Coast is my backyard, and my absolute favourite place to shoot during the summer months especially during the sunrise and sunset where the setting sun creates an almighty glow on the cliffs.
A 10% deposit is payable today. The remainder balance is due 60 days before your tour begins.
This trip includes everything except your flights and food. Once you arrive, I’ll look after you, airport transfers, transport during the tour, accommodation, guiding, and all tuition.
24th – 26th June 2022
There are some places you visit and you just want to stay forever like The Causeway Coast. It hugs the coastline of Northern Ireland and stretches from Belfast to Derry and is approximately 120 miles in length.
It is a glorious mix of remarkable geology, pristine blue flag beaches and rugged clifftop walks. The scenery is mind-blowingly beautiful – think vast ocean views, rolling green glens, sea arches and butter-coloured coves. And when it comes to epic photography – there’s no better place.
With locations like the basalt columns of the Giant’s Causeway, Mussenden Temple and Binevenagh Mountain, you are sure to find something that will make you fall in love.
As with all my Photography Tours & Workshops I like to keep participant numbers small, and this photography tour is limited to only four people! This allows me to spend more one on one time with you, helping you with any questions you may have.
Our transport for the week will be in my Land Rover Discovery.
Good to Know
Start Point: The tours starts at 9am on Friday 24th June and we’ll meet in Ballycastle Town Centre.
End Point: The tour ends after sunset (10:12pm) on Sunday 26th June.
Accommodation: I’ve booked a self catering cottage only 5 minutes outside Ballycastle. Each participant will have their own room. We check in late Friday afternoon and check-out Sunday morning.
Flights: There are daily flights from most major airports in the UK to City of Derry and Belfast airports. I can help you arrange transport to Ballycastle, just send me a message.
Hiking / Walking: A lot of the locations do require walking. You don’t need to be an athlete but you must be able to walk on uneven, sometimes steep and slippery ground.
Self Catering / Meals: There is an abundance of restaurants on the Causeway Coast. We can have an early dinner each evening to leave us more than enough time to be on location before sunset, the rest of the time we can self-cater. Every day I advise to bring lunch and snacks to eat throughout the day.
photographer and aurora guide
Photographer, Light Chaser, Aurora Guide, Web Dev, Daddy and I’ve got a very understanding girlfriend in no particular order.
There is no fixed daily itinerary on my Causeway Coast Photography Workshop. I like to work with the weather as much as possible and visit locations based on the current weather/tidal conditions. I want to maximise your chances of going home with great images!
We will be on location before sunrise and shooting all day until after sunset.
Day 1 – Arrival Day
We’ll meet at Ballycastle Town Centre at 9am ready to start shortly afterwards at our first location.
We’ll check into our accommodation late afternoon before heading to our sunset location.
Finished the day off with sunset.
We’ll be getting up early (regardless of weather) to be on location 1 hour before sunrise, after each sunrise shoot we’ll head for breakfast before heading onto our next location.
Each sunset location, we’ll be there roughly 2 hours before so that we can each scope out our sunset composition.
Day 3 – Departure Day
Another full day of photography, starting at sunrise and shooting right up until sunset when the tour then ends.
Goodbyes are forever, I’ll be saying see you later as I hope you’ll join me on another adventure.
Where will we visit?
This is just an overview of all the potential locations that we will visit. We won’t get to every single location as some of the locations depend on the correct weather/tide conditions.
