Located within the Arctic Circle, Lofoten boasts fantastic photography conditions. The low lying sun casts a beautiful golden light all day long, while ice and snow combine with the other elements to create otherworldly, almost alien landscapes. Best of all, the constantly changing weather makes the sceneries even more dramatic – imagine shafts of light piercing dark clouds to illuminate a single patch of the landscape.
This Lofoten Photography Workshop includes a visit to the traditional fishing village of Nusfjord, where you can photograph colourful wooden cabins and roughly hewn outdoor racks for drying cod. We will stroll the beaches of Storsandnes and Rambergstranda, which rival tropical destinations with their clean waters and fine, white sands. We will capture the colonies of seagulls perched on rugged cliffs, which tumble down to the sea from snow-capped fjords. And at nightfall we will witness one of nature’s greatest spectacles – the breath-taking aurora borealis.
Although this is a group tour, I will spend one-on-one time with you, helping you capture the fjords and the northern lights in a way that will make your Instagram a source of envy. Depending on your experience level, we will delve deeper into advanced topics like metering and post-processing and I’ll explain everything without mind boggling technical jargon.
For a truly authentic experience we will be staying in a traditional, 400-year-old former farmhouse on a self-catering basis.
It’s time you unleash your creativity while experiencing Norway like the Vikings!
